The government is launching a review with an aim to simplify and speed up the process of buying a property.
For many buyers, purchasing a property is stressful, especially if the buyer is also selling a property and is part of a chain.
Now the government is seeking feedback from the property industry to establish how the buying and selling process can be streamlined and improved.
Communities Secretary, Sajid Javid, said: “We want to help everyone have a good quality home they can afford, and improving the process of buying and selling is part of delivering that. I want to hear from the industry on what more we can do to tackle this issue.”
While looking at ways to make the property buying process less stressful, ministers are also looking at the possibility of banning gazumping.
The Communities Secretary intimated that the government may take advantage of low interest rates and look to borrow to building more housing.
Meanwhile, the Autumn Budget will be published on 22th November 2017.
