This is our favourite time of the year – we’re in the final sprint to Christmas, but there’s still a little time to breathe.
That’s why November’s such a brilliant month, there’s the excitement of Guy Fawkes Night as a nice interlude between summer and the festive season. It’s an excellent chance to spend time with the family enjoying the firework displays in and around town and recounting the intriguing tale of Guy Fawkes and his failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament.
So make sure that you don’t miss out on the action – and get yourself along to the firework displays in Wimbledon. The main one is in Wimbledon Park on the 5th of November – but there’s another on the 1st of November in Morden Park. Bookings for the former close on the 30th October at 11:30 pm and for Wimbledon Park on the 3rd of November at 11:30 pm.
There will also be two performances at the venue – the themes this year are Ice and Magic for the younger audience, and Salute to Services for the second display. There will also be a funfair, refreshments and stalls that will open until 10pm.
You can also purchase tickets on the door – but they’re 30 percent cheaper online, so best to be prepared and book ahead of time.
