A community primary school in Wimbledon will be using its Summer Fair this year to help raise funds for yet another vital project, and the event is being sponsored by Robert Holmes for the second consecutive year.
Last year, The Friends of West Wimbledon (FOWW) fundraised on behalf of West Wimbledon Primary School to create an outdoor learning space in the school’s quad in an area which was underused. The result was amazing and this area is now used regularly by all the children and staff members.
In addition, thanks to the generosity of all of the sponsors, FOWW has been able to provide new playground equipment and toys, revitalised the staffroom, bought reading scheme books, and provided a new sound system for the school hall.
But there is more to be done.
The main outdoor play area and field requires work and the charity is now fundraising with the intention of:
- Dealing with poor drainage + muddy areas + build-up of leaves
- Creating outdoor spaces where our children can play and thrive
FOWW, a registered charity, raises money for additional school resources through the organisation of events like the annual Summer Fair. The fundraising support of parents, staff, friends of the school, community groups and local businesses is now being called on to fund the delivery of this new project, which will improve the outdoor facilities for the children at the school.
This year, the Summer Fair will take place at West Wimbledon Primary School on 6th July.
As a local Wimbledon estate agent, the team at Robert Holmes is especially pleased to provide support to the school.
