Edinburgh is a thriving city, full of historic properties, and the prime market here has some distinctive architecture. The New Town lets you experience Georgian crescents and townhouses on a UNESCO World Heritage site. This sits close to Stockbridge, which recent market analysis has ranked as the most expensive area in the city for prime property, with the New Town following close behind. The West End offers a similar calibre of period architecture from which you can access Princes Street and the financial district.
Further south, the Grange and Morningside are two of the addresses we’re most focused on. The Grange is a conservation area of grand Victorian villas and quiet, leafy streets, while Morningside pairs a strong village atmosphere and well-regarded schools with views out towards Blackford Hill and Arthur’s Seat. Merchiston, which has seen property values climb by 10% this year, and Trinity, with its Georgian terraces close to the Water of Leith, round out the initial areas where we’re operating in Edinburgh.
We founded Robert Holmes & Co. in 1987 as a specialist in prime and luxury residential sales, and spent decades building that reputation from our Wimbledon Village office before extending the brand into Coombe in 2017.
