Robert Holmes & Co are purchasing 1,000 semi-mature trees to plant locally. If you’ve got somewhere to plant one or more, and can help plant them, then please either complete the form or e-mail: trees@robertholmes.co.uk.

Once you contact us, we will call you and arrange to survey the site where you plan to plant the tree. All being well, we can then plant the tree together and you, along with thousands of others can watch it grow.

The FAQs - Some questions you might ask:

1. Do I need to own the land where I would like the tree planted?

No, but you will need permission, in writing, from the landowner. We can help you get this.

2. How big are the trees?

They are about 7 feet (2 metres) tall and dependent on the species, will grow from 30 to 100 feet tall (10 to 30 metres), so there needs to be enough height and space around the tree when it is fully mature.

3. Will the tree need protection?

If the area is open, you will need to protect and maintain the tree. It might need a wooden stake and wire fence, which will need purchasing. It may need watering too. We can discuss all these things when we survey the site.

4. What tree species are you offering?

– Cherry Blossom
– English Oak
– London Plane
– Rowan
– Cedar

5. Who will plant the tree?

We will bring the tools and have the skills to plant it, but we want you to be involved; actually, as many people as possible to be involved. After all, it will be your tree, and it will need some love in the first 3 years.

6. When will you plant it?

Tree planting season is December to March. You can order it at any time, in fact the earlier the better. Once it arrives, we will arrange a date to plant. It doesn’t take long to plant a tree.

7. Can I have multiple trees?

Yes. As long as the trees are planted for the public good, then no problem. We would love to plant trees in parks, school grounds, care homes – as long as it makes a difference to lots of people.
