West Wimbledon Primary School are working as hard as they can again to raise extra funds to provide the children with new markings for the KS2 playground.
These have been chosen to increase the amount of physical activity the children are doing at lunch/play in line with the 30:30 campaign of 30 minutes activity each day in school and 30 minutes at home.
“The idea is to create a physically active playground” says Mrs Peatey, Deputy Headteacher.
Earlier this year, Robert Holmes helped the school with their Overpass Transformation Campaign, which has been a great success.
Sited beneath the A298 main road where the flyover is towering over the playground, a crumbling front used to reveal a daunting appearance. FOWW teamed up with The Natural Play Company which turned the abandoned area beneath the overpass into an exciting playhouse with an outdoor classroom facility, that teachers can now use to enrich their ways of teaching.
