Black Lamb 

In the heart of Wimbledon Village, the Black Lamb restaurant is renowned for great quality British produce and award-winning English wines. Fire Stables 

The Fire Stables is a top pick if you are looking for a restaurant serving the best Sunday roasts or Saturday brunches in Wimbledon Village. Hotel Du Vin 

The Hotel Du Vin combines fine dining with stunning views across Cannizaro Park from The Orangery, where you can enjoy the al fresco dining experience without worrying about the weather. The a la carte menu is updated seasonally, includes all the popular Italian dishes, plus some more unique options, such as the Spaghetti Alle Vangole and daily specials such as the Risotto Nero and Rigatoni Con Salsiccia.  

There’s also an express 3 course menu “Menu Fisso” served within 30 minutes and happy hour on drinks Monday to Friday 3pm to 7pm – cheers to that! Afternoon Tea is served Wednesday to Saturday, 12.30 to 3.30pm

Sticks’n’Sushi 

Idyllically situated a short walk down Wimbledon Hill, Sticks’n’Sushi is a Japanese-Nordic mix restaurant. Choose from dishes like beef tataki, seared salmon and Wagyu bites. If you are not sure what to order, the ‘As good as it gets’ option will allow you to sample a large variety of sushi and other dishes. The ‘Full House’ includes all six house rolls, if you like a bit of variety. 

One of the highest rated restaurants in the neighbourhood on TripAdvisor, Sticks’n’Sushi is a must-try for sushi lovers, whether you are just visiting or a local.

The Giggling Squid 

Lovely, low-key Thai restaurant on the village’s high street. It’s part of a chain but retains an authentic floral interior and serves classic Thai fare, tapas style. Don’t miss the delicious chicken satay skewers, soft pork dumplings and, of course, the salt and pepper squid. The Street Food Sharer and Satay Four Ways are also popular orders but you really can’t go wrong with any of the dishes. 

The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere and has attracted excellent ratings on Google and TripAdvisor.

The Fox And Grapes 

Classic pub overlooking the Common with a welcoming atmosphere and a gastro twist. Visit for authentic British food cooked brilliantly including Cornish lamb rump to rare breed cuts, such as a black angus sirloin. 

The Fox and Grapes was awarded the OpenTable Diners’ Choice award in 2023 and it is one of the best local spots for Sunday roasts, with options including sirloin of beef, garlic and thyme roasted half-crown chicken and slow roasted pork belly.

Chango 

Previously a street food pop-up stall, Chango is now permanently based on High Street Wimbledon, London. A fun culinary experience combining authentic Argentine food with classic Spanish tapas style dishes and top of the range wine from Argentina. You must try the empanadas, a South American style Cornish pasty, with a wide range of delicious fillings. 

You can also order your tasty handmade Empanadas to collect and then heat them up at home.

Megan’s Wimbledon 

Transport yourself to the Mediterranean at Megan’s in the village. The branch is part of a small family of restaurants, who pride themselves as being in the heart of the community – your favourite neighbourhood restaurant. They offer brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails, plus, they are dog-friendly, so you won’t have to leave your pet at home while you have all the fun! There is also a healthy deli bar for takeaways. 

Breakfast is available until 11am, then the brunch menu is served until 3pm before the afternoon and evening sittings. There is also a theatre menu served weekdays 5pm to 7pm, offering a two or three course menu.

Aimer Mediterranean 

A newcomer to the Wimbledon food scene in July 2024, Aimer has quickly built a reputation for its impressive selection of dishes and cosy ambience.  

Popular with seafood lovers, their Tiger Prawns and seafood risotto is highly recommended. Not in the mood for seafood? There is a great choice of meat dishes including sirloin steak, lamb shank and pork belly glaze.

The handmade pies are cooked to order and there is a great choice of vegan dishes and some amazing desserts if you have room! The perfect place to spend a lazy Sunday with friends or family, Hand in Hand serves a very popular Sunday roast.
