Organised by our very own James Nouri pictured above, we are delighted to have taken part in this year’s Wimbledon Village Winter Coat Drive which raised more than 650+ warm winter coat donations for those in need.
The initiative is in support of the Calling London charity, Frances Manthos the founder pictured above with her colleague Kas said-
The Wimbledon Village community came together to collect 650 preloved coats, which is an incredible number. Every one of those will be handed over to someone who otherwise couldn’t afford to buy themselves one. From Monday 1st December all the donations will be distributed across London to the beneficiary charities who are waiting to give them to their clients, and on behalf of them and myself, a huge ‘Thank You’ to all those donors who gave!
This remarkable charity is dedicated to collecting and distributing warm winter coats to those most in need all across London.
All donations will be distributed among a number of vital charitable groups for those in need ranging from; families in financial difficulty, homelessness, domestic abuse, poverty and groups including the elderly, refugees and children.
We were grateful to have taken part alongside 11 other local Wimbledon Village businesses who took part this year, ranging from Westside Tennis Club to the Wimbledon Common Golf Club.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in this year’s drive, the generosity of numerous donations that have come in have been inspiring.
This year’s Wimbledon Village Winter Coat Drive is a testament to the incredible power of our community coming together.
